Privacy policy

What Quorli collects, why, who we share it with, and how you stay in control. Written to be read, not skimmed past.

The short version

  • We collect what we need to run Quorli: your account, the business details you give us, and the results we generate for you.
  • We never sell your personal data or use it for advertising, and we never train AI models on it.
  • Analytics cookies are off until you accept them. Card details go straight to Stripe and never touch our servers.
  • You can delete your account and all its data any time in Settings, and ask us to see, export or correct your data by emailing privacy@quorli.ai.

Who we are

Quorli (“Quorli”, “we”, “us”) runs quorli.ai, a service that shows businesses whether AI assistants recommend them and how to improve. We decide how your personal data is used, so we are its controller. This policy covers our website, the Quorli app, and the emails we send.

What we collect

Your account. Your email address. If you sign in with Google, also your name and profile picture. To keep you signed in securely, we store session records with your IP address and browser type.

Your business details. What you enter or confirm during setup and in Settings: website address, brand name and other names it goes by, a short description, category, competitors, the questions you track, your check schedule and email preferences.

Results we create for you. The answers AI assistants give to your questions, who they mention and cite, page audits, suggested page fixes, simulations, explanations and your action plan progress.

Billing. Your plan, subscription status and Stripe customer ID. Stripe collects your card and billing address on its own pages; we only see the card brand, last four digits and expiry, and your invoices.

Usage. If you accept analytics cookies, which pages you visit and which features you use, with your device and browser type, approximate location from your IP address, and session replays. If you don’t, we only count anonymous visits without cookies. See Cookies.

Messages. What you send us when you email us.

Websites we read

When you ask us to, our reader, QuorliBot, fetches public web pages: your homepage during setup, the pages you audit, a few public pages that AI assistants cited, which we compare in simulations, and, for Get listed, the pages AI cites when it recommends your competitors. Pages you mark as pitched are read again about once a week to see whether they now mention you. We read only what is publicly available, and we respect robots.txt for setup and simulations.

These pages can include names or details of people that their owners chose to publish. We use that content only to produce your results, not to build profiles of anyone. For Get listed, we keep the author name and contact details a page publishes, so you know who to reach, and nothing else about them.

Visitors from AI

If you add the Quorli snippet to your website, it runs in your visitors’ browsers and only acts when a visit comes from an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Perplexity. It then sends us the assistant’s name, the page path and the date. It sets no cookies and stores nothing that identifies a visitor. It only remembers, for that browser tab, which pages it already counted. We keep only daily totals. We use the connection’s IP address for a minute to block abuse, then discard it.

How we use it

  • To run Quorli: ask AI assistants your questions on schedule, analyze their answers, audit and improve your pages, and show your results.
  • To manage your account and billing, and send login links, receipts and service messages.
  • To send product emails like your weekly summary and alerts. You can turn these off in Settings.
  • To keep Quorli secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To understand how Quorli is used and make it better, with your consent where the law requires it.
  • To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping tax records.

AI providers

Quorli works by asking AI assistants questions through their official APIs. We send them your tracked questions, your brand and competitor names, and the public page content needed for audits, fixes, simulations and explanations. We don’t send your email address or billing details.

We don’t use your data to train AI models. Each provider processes what we send under its business API terms to return a result to us.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run Quorli, only what each one needs, and under contracts that limit how they can use it:

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect our users or our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, in which case this policy keeps applying to your data. We do not sell your personal data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Cookies and similar technologies

  • Essential: a secure session cookie that keeps you signed in, and browser storage that saves your setup progress so a page reload doesn’t lose it. These are needed for Quorli to work.
  • Analytics (only with consent): PostHog cookies that recognize your browser across visits, and session replays. Replays mask everything you type and all text inside the app, and never record network requests. Until you accept, or if you decline, we only count anonymous visits without any cookies or browser storage, using a daily changing hash of your IP address and browser that can’t be turned back into either.
  • Stripe: Stripe’s checkout and billing pages set their own cookies for payments and fraud prevention, under Stripe’s privacy policy.

How long we keep it

  • We keep your account data and results while your account is open. The app shows history for your plan’s period (30 days on Free, 6 months on Starter, 12 months on Pro).
  • When you delete a project or your account in Settings, we delete its data from Quorli right away, and from our analytics provider within 30 days. You can also ask us to delete your account by email.
  • We keep invoices and payment records for as long as tax and accounting laws require, usually up to 7 years.
  • Session records expire when you sign out or after a period of inactivity. Analytics data in PostHog is linked only to your user ID, never your email, and we delete it when we delete your account.

How we protect it

We encrypt data in transit with HTTPS, limit access to the people who need it, sign you in with expiring login links or Google instead of passwords, and never handle card numbers ourselves. No system is perfectly secure, so if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

International transfers

Quorli and most of our providers operate in the United States. When we transfer data from the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, as offered by each provider.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, object to or limit how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. California residents also have the right to know what we collect, to delete and correct it, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We don’t sell or share personal data, so there is nothing to opt out of.

To use any of these rights, email privacy@quorli.ai from the address on your account. We reply within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Quorli is a business tool and isn’t meant for anyone under 16. We don’t knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has given us data, email privacy@quorli.ai and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Quorli changes. We will update the date at the top, and for important changes we will email you before they take effect.
